I finally got so disgusted by parents who park in the fire lane and in the 'no parking' section on the street (for bus safety!) that I called the parking enforcement. Tickets, all around.

Yay for voting! Too bad more of our fellow citizens don't do it. And thank heavens our county doesn't decide on statewide ballot measures, because they're a lot more conservative than the rest of our lovely Evergreen state. The locals would have hurt our schools and public services with 1033 and forced their bigotry on us all by defeating R71.

I worry about our city now that they've chosen a new mayor. His short-sighted policies will do a lot more to harm the environment than a bunch of moms letting their engines run.

Can you see I'm a little worked up? Maybe we could challenge the new mayor to a roller derby smackdown?
