on the ball

I have no idea what that cliche "On the ball" literally means (it sounds like a difficult maneuver, and faintly related to exercise; not sure I like that). But figuratively, I'm there. Allow me to outline my stellar day so far:

Notice no shower, laundry washed, or interaction with husband & children (in fact, two of them left the house and I'm not sure where the other is right now).

Listen, I'm walking in the Relay for Life this afternoon - that is physical activity, people. I have got to conserve energy early in order to manage that. I'm in training.

I see a nap, movie, and possibly cocktails in my future.

You kill me!
I am proud of you for walking in Relay For Life!! Excellent!! And as for missing family memebers... that freaks me out! Though I am sure Stu was the responsible one & knew where the offspring were at! Sheesh!

Relay for Life - nice.

You must save your energy for walking. And chocolate? Breakfast of champions!

Sounds like a great hoping you get a shower in there sometime today..especially after the Walk!!
Sometimes I feel a little bad about not really knowing exactly where my boys are every minute of the day...and then...*poof*...that feeling is gone!! In our neighborhood (small) everyone knows where someone is most of the time...sometimes good, sometimes bad.
Good luck with the walk!!

loved your comment on Vintage Thirty about not noticing the prices if the check out guys were young & hot enough--so true!
unfortunately my local haunt of world de wallay mostly employs persons that you discreetly avert your eyes from after you throw up a little in the back of your throat.

as to what you should watch, I will throw in my vote for The Closer. I LOVE that show! And the first 2 years of Weeds were pretty good, too.

I like your card.

Um...what do you do with a blog business card? Obviously, Mrs. G. knows and appreciates, but I'm clueless. I also am the only person who reads my blog, so maybe that's why I don't see the need.

Oh, and yes, big props on your productive morning, your walk, and your washed laundry!!
