friday happy dance

Janet was so smart and gave us song lyrics for
today's Friday Fill-Ins. Yay!

1. If I was to walk into your life, would you please praise me for making the effort to exercise?

2. Catch a bright star and place it in the brain of key students....

3. And you can send me chocolate anytime (even if it's a disarming shape).

4. Feel free to try sucking up to me, but I'm dealing with a memory that never forgets.

5. I'm the innocent bystander / Somehow I got stuck in the middle of teenage phone drama.

6. What's keeping us apart isn't selfishness, it's lack of ability to focus (we won't point fingers).

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to Movie Night with girlfriends, tomorrow my plans include sleeping way in then doing "SOMETHING FUN" with my kids, and Sunday, I want to watch FOOTBALLLL!

this may feel totally like no 4 (though i defy anyone to prove it) -
your no 2 states the mission of teachers everywhere. while some, whether few or many, don't get it. There are those who would go to any length, the stars in heaven, to motivate a student, to provide an education, to share learning.
Of course, I have known you were one of those people "Bad Mom" that is the thing that is so very attractive about you, so far as I'm concerned. So I watch to see what you will attempt next :) Even if it means "screwing" an administrator - several ways that can be taken (your recent post about media setup) - to get the job the done.

I know your students come first and that awesome. While the attitude is not always uncommon, the techniques are most uncommon and deserve praise!!!
No awards - just more blather and kudos.
Best of Luck , and Prayers for the school year!!!

Argh. Football season. There goes my sex life, and it had really starting to pick up too. Not that I'd share such personal information with anyone, but if it had been picking up, football season might interfere. Hypothetically speaking, of course.

Woo Hoo! Football! We screen calls on Sundays. And Monday evening. And some Thursdays. Anyone want to take my kid for a playdate? I'll pay you...
