god bless us, everyone (except the sinners)

Because I am the Bad Mom, I feel compelled (and pressured by my nearly-heathen husband) to direct your attention to this delightful Christmas carol. [Warning to non-initiates of South Park: There are *bleeps* but it's still hilariously outrageously offensive to everyone]

Some people don't feel a real Christian would not condemn Matt Stone & Trey Parker to the fiery fires of Hell condone such so-called comedy; I say Jesus is laughing his holy *ss off - he entertained the likes of Peter & Paul, right? Feel free to discuss my salvation while I eat all the chocolate in my stocking for breakfast.

Sincerely, I am grateful for this day; I celebrate & cherish its meaning and hope others will as well.

I am thankful for my God, my family, my friends - including you.
Merry Christmas, you wonderful old blogosphere.

See, this is one of the reasons I like you so much. Seriously, is it that difficult to have faith AND a sense of humor.

I recently caused an uproar amongst some of my churchlier friends when I was presented with a chance to pre-screen an unreleased Johnny Depp movie or go to an event at church and I said, out loud, to my churchlier friends, "Johnny Depp trumps Jesus, sorry."

Come on! WWJD? He's laugh, a lot, I am sure.

Happy Christmas! P.S. your kids look slightly deranged in the photo with the stockings. Deranged in a good YAY FOR CHRISTMAS kind of way, but that's the same look in my cat's eye when we get out the 'nip.

It's always the right time for South Park! I've always maintained that some Christians, like some people of any religious faith, take themselves WAY too seriously.

I mean, come on, God created the ostrich, for goodness sake! That should convince anyone that he definitely has a sense of humor.

Hope you had a great day with your family. Merry Christmas!

AH - "Merry Christmas you wonderful old Blogosphere" - that killed me. Very Funny!
And yes, I believe God and Jesus do (does? after all they are one in the same...) have a sense of humor. Our church let each children's group (elementary kids, middle schoolers, high schoolers) make a video of the "Modern baby jesus story" The elementary kids had Mary at the Mall showing her friends clothes from baby gap while Joseph hid under his ball cap. The middle schoolers used text messaging to spread the word that Jesus was born. The high schoolers had the Angel Gabriel deliver the message to Mary by Facebook. And Mary used Facebook to post updates on her condition. Some churches would be totally offended. We thought it was a great way to take a modern, fresh look at the story we all know so well!
Hope you had a VERY Merry Christmas!

I'm not the biggest South Park fan... but you may find me bellowing out "Blame Canada!" from time to time. ;)

Hopefully escaping the NW this evening. Wish me luck!

Merry Christmas to you, Bad Mom. You know me, always a bit late to the party...

Jesus would be ALL OVER irreverance in laughter. I feel sure of it.
