It was everything I love - fabulous friends, extraordinary food & drink, lively discussion, and a show worth three [and a half] hours of my life. I'm particularly pleased that the Academy saw most everything my way this time; they can be so difficult.
But now the real world looms in the form of dirty dishes overtaking my kitchen and a job starting in a handful of hours. Must go now to present the award for Best Husband in A Supporting Role...

I'd like to thank the Academy for my award...
Well done, Stu and congrats :-)
I'm sorry I missed it! I am sure it was divine. Since my budget certainly will not allow a week long Mardi Gras odyssey again next year, I hope to remain in your good graces and receive a 2010 invite. In fact, I'll make it a top priority.
A party for the Oscars.
Just another element of American culture that is totally not understood over here.
We used to watch the show and all that went with it like some people watch the SuperBowl...and yes, things usually got thrown!!
Congrats on a successful party..to all of you!!
*thank you*
What a great time, again.
Awesome evening. Big love to you and Stu for making it so fun, despite the fact that certain actors were ROBBED of their well deserved Oscars.
You know who I mean.
Thank you for a most memorable time!
That sounds like so much fun. Why do we live so far from each other again?
Oh yeah. Real life?
Got it.
Still wish I'd been there (not that you invited me or anything...but I like to pretend).
