Tonight I shuffled my sluggish foolhardy LookAtMeIHaven'tBeenSickThisWinter self to Paige's Brownie Badge Ceremony. She & her homegirls, who have been a troop since the Daisy days of kindergarten, planned an hour of reminding grown-ups of the Girl Scout Laws, receiving hard-earned badges, and demonstrating how to make snacks like white chocolate-dipped pretzels & deviled eggs. All was delicious.

She's rockin' those patches... And are those red highlights? Girl power, indeed!
cute. but where are the brownies? i'm hungry.
I used to LOVE getting patches. And a word of advice, as I do speak from experience, hid her brownie or girl scout outfit as she gets older so she doesn't decide to go down memory lane, try on her old uniform and then think it's a good idea to put on roller skates and go skating down the street in a uniform that is 5 sizes too small...yes I did it.
I'm missing me some GS fun. I didn't realize *I* would miss it more than my girl.
She seems just fine, having Friday nights free.
I hope you are still staying healthy...my boy? Went down puking last night. We're taking a hit for the team. You should be safe.
Love her hair in the first picture!
So cute! Amazing Girl Child just did a Junior invocation ceremony the other night. Always so fun.
I think she will be intrigued by the highlights. She is pestering me big time to let her dye her hair. You and I need to talk. I need guidance.
Mine is moving to Jr GS this year, too. Did you guys do you cookie sales? We just finished individual sales and now have a site sale this weekend.
My daughter hates the cookie sales because even though she does well with the neighbors and our small family, she cannot compete w. the kids who have a parent take the sheet to work.
I try to explain that she benefits from the whole TROOP making $$$ when they go on their year-end filed trip. Last year was a pizza party at a waterpark! It might be the same thing this year, if they make enough at the site sale. Sluggish economy? Not in terms of cookie sales, apparently.
I've got something in my pocket/it belongs upon my face . . . !
