I gave the kids some time in Powell's & Starbucks in exchange for them taking time with me at Portland Art Museum. We were all perfectly delighted. (Check out the quote on Mason's cocoa cup; he decided to keep it, God bless him).

Seems like a pretty equal exchange to me. I heartily believe in bribing my kids, when needed. It is in the best interest of all involved, no?

I've always wanted to go to Powell's. Now I feel like I've been.
Mason has an eye for photography. Nice job! And I love the birds. Paige did a fine shot of them!
That's great! Looks like a great time.
I loved that dresser shot!
It looks like a great day--was Stu at home working on yet another home improvement project?
wow. that is a good day.
good work, bad mom.
I think this "Powells" I keep hearing about may end up being the main influence I move to Portland under.
all the pictures are cool...but that dresser is amazing!
The slide show is so cool! They did well with the photography, too.
I forgot to say I can't wait till my kids can go browse in a bookstore with me. We do go to the library, but Mr. Blue either plays with the toys or runs away from me!
What a wonderful slide show!! The pictures are great!!
I'm so jealous...I'm waiting (not so patiently) for the youngest to be able to go out like that and not cause trouble/knock anything over/spill something/piss me off.
I know...it'll happen soon enough...until then, I'll just go through your photos again and live vicariously for a bit. okay? thanks.
