wipe & reload

My laptop is apparently in the advanced stages of dementia. Or it is angry about not having a clever name. Maybe it's fed up with the stickers. Whatever the reason, it is giving me fits by refusing to load blogs games programs properly, taking forever to connect to the Internet, freezing up right when I'm crafting the most hilarious comments or Facebook updates - you know, CRUCIAL tasks.

Stu says he can help [BUT HE HASN'T YET! HUSBANNNNNNDD!]. In the meantime, I get tired and do stupid things like read message boards debating the necessity of bacon in various foods.

Glory days.
Sigh.

Sounds like you just need to run a scan disk. You might have spy-ware lagging it too. Probably nothing big, though. It just needs a little interal cleaning.

I'll pretend like I know what I'm talking about: Maybe, defragging? That sounds right....

I panic and buy a new computer at the first signs of mine having "issues." Could be part of the reason we're always broke? Hmmmmm. I'll ponder that at a later date.

Scan disk? Spyware? Defrag? I don't know. But new? New is always good.

Hmmm...maybe something must be going around. I'm suffering the same issues with my laptop. But I have kind of willed it to happen b/c I really want a new one...

I did a reload of the system and all seems to be better. I threatened to get her a new laptop but she likes this one.

Clearly you need to add a Live Wire! sticker to the laptop. Ours says "Keep Portland Wired" - get it?

Or just get smart and buy a Mac.

Well, after reading Stu's comment, it is obvious that you need another sticker. And "I survived...." kind of thing, perhaps?

My laptop is having similar issues--my dear hubby surprised me today with one of those new minis I've had my eye on. This way I keep on blogging while we figure the laptop situation out. Besides, with 2 teenagers that do all their homework on the computer another laptop in the house is a good thing.

Your interview was excellent--it's a great idea JCK had.
