high times

What do bad moms do with their kids in Portland on unexpectedly sunny Saturday afternoons?

Find a pot festival and eat lunch in the midst of it.

Revelers

But we did find other more tasteful things to do...

Showing a friend's Flat Stanley the Central Library
from the 7th floor of a downtown parking garage

Visiting with a sunbathing ladybug

Marveling over the optical illusion of clouds moving
behind a crane

*Not pictured: The grim reaper-like sky covering the city on our way home, and the buckets of 6-lb. raindrops pummeling the car. For real. I was not hallucinating.

Can I assume you're not talking about an "eartherware container" convention?

You were lucky to avoid the rain. A number of folks coming in to OMSI were drenched. Happily, we were already inside.

Squeeze me? A "pot festival"?
Man! But I do love Portland!! :-D

Flat Stanley? Oh how well I know him!! He has been to visit me about 12 times....sometimes he has a really great time, sometimes he just sits here for weeks doing nothing and then rushes around halfassedly getting stuff done when he's ready to go!!

I love that ladybug! and yeah...even with the rain, a great day!!

Talk about crazy rain AND wind after those blue skies.

Spring is never boring.

Especially downtown.
