the sound of the world coming to an end

Did you hear it? No?

Neither did I.

I guess my daily posts really weren't the source of ongoing life in the universe. I was so exhausted last night that I couldn't even effectively bribe badger my husband into writing a guest post to maintain my quest for daily blogging. I couldn't even get out of my clothes; I awoke around 11 pm sweating from lying under the covers in jeans, t-shirt, and wool socks for two hours.

So I start over, after 421 consecutive posts. Sigh.

And life goes on.

Wow. If it's any comfort I think you hold the record among the bloggers I know. I think I went about 400. It's kind of like getting a dent in a new car--it's actually kind of a relief.

Yes indeed, life moves on like a car with 2 flats--but it moves! Splendid post.

Wow! I haven't blogged in a few days and I feel guilty.

Do you remember back in the '90s when Cal Ripken intentionally broke his streak of consecutive games played?

Yeah, you meant to do it.

You are definitely the record holder. Hold on to that yumminess and know that you are on a pedestal now. Wool socks and all.

Oh, crap. I feel responsible. And I didn't even know that there was a record in danger of being neglected. Will you still be my friend?

You know, you can do a post and backdate it... Cheating, perhaps, but I prefer to think of it more like time traveling.

Both Amazing Girl and I blogged about our adventure with you three. So you WERE represented in bloggyland, even if you didn't write it yourself. You could count ours as pinch hitting...

That's a lot of consecutive. If you were so beat you could fall asleep in jeans, I'd say the sleep was needed.

The pressure is off. It will be just fine.

Really. :)

I am awash in admiration. You are like the Energizer Bunny, but way cuter.

I'm impressed that you made it so long! I've never tried to blog every day--why set myself up for failure? ;-)

I'm really impressed. Seriously impressed!

Not a failure at all... 421 is an outstanding achievement, I don't think I could even count to 421 most days.

I am totally bowing down in your direction...what energy you kept going for such a long time!
I see this as a 'bicycle...fall off...get back on...ride off into the sunset' kind of thing!

And, just for the record...even though you lapsed a bit...you still have 18 posts in my GoogleReader I am GOING TO GET CAUGHT UP ON. so sorry my friend...I hope I didn't miss anything too terribly important!
