How did I hate it? Let me count the ways:
- Jabba the Hutt-like pile of sheets & towels lurking in our bedroom corner
- Left students' work to be entered for progress reports at home this morning
- Dumb DJ talk & ads on the radio all the way to work
- None of my car CDs made my heart sing
- Forgot to bring lunch
- Horrible burning/dead creature smell in the downstairs hallway at school
- Most of the students with missing work spent entire class periods continuing to do nothing
- Grocery store hottie still completely bad at delightful small talk
- Forgot to bring receipts for reimbursement to PTA meeting
- No time to talk with my good friend after PTA meeting
- No interesting or engaging lesson plans are leaping from my brain
Good stuff (or, me being a Ray of F*cking Sunshine):
- Stu washed all of those sheets & towels for me this weekend
- I don't have to actually enter grades until Wednesday (really not until Thursday, but I'm tricking my mind so I'm not up until 3 am again; shhhhh)
- Kept my finger busy trying to find a suitable station
- I forgot about the Juno soundtrack; am smiling now thinking about it
- Chicken stew still in teacher's lounge fridge, and edible
- Stench was gone before I got a debilitating headache
- Repeated my Love & Logic mantra [Not my problem, Not my problem] and proceeded to not strangle any students
- He's still nice to look at; I'll just stop torturing myself and go through someone else's line from now on
- Tomorrow is another day to track down the Treasurer
- Will corral Lisa later this week for tea & chatting
- God is good; I'll pray harder
Hey, Happy Monday!

I hate Mondays!!
I feel your pain!
Any time I have to
work on a Monday I
get a little weird
feeling in my stomach...
It sounds like you almost have yourself convinced!
You think your day was icky? I had to spend 4 hours in traffic safety school!
;)
I wanted to stay and visit with you too, but I was feeling blechy too - nearly teary - so I didn't stick around too long after the meeting was over.
But the sun IS supposed to be shining this week.
Ice tea? Sounds good.
;)
I like your point/counter point post. Keep looking at the bright side. And that prayin' can't hurt either!
It's funny how 3 and 4 in the morning can set you up for your whole day to be sucky. For me anyway. Glad you are able to turn it all around.
For heaven's sake woman, hotties aren't for talking. Duh.
And Stu does laundry, guest posts, and serial comments? Keep him.
...and Stu understands your feelings about the "hottie"? and understands why you have pictures of other hotties in strategic places around the house? Plus he has a really kick-ass sense of humor....
Yeah...Mondays suck...but look what you get to come home to!
certainly sounds like you made it ab fairly good day...
Made the good list, phew.

Just have to tell you that your "Assimilated by the Borg" comment on Tootsie's Vintage Thirty blog made me spit out a little coffee not just because it's funny but b/c I have thought the same thing and never said it.
I want the Juno Soundtrack so bad! I thought I might get it for a mom's day gift, but no.
And, for the record, you remind me about all the nuances of teaching that drove me bonkers. I am starting my master's in the fall, maybe I should switch majors to like poetry or pottery rather than literacy!
Ha! We both have "headachy" as our emotion today!!
Don't you love that Juno soundtrack. That always helps when your having a day like this!!
phew. glad that's over.
