- When I started college, I had high hopes of becoming an advertising executive
- I was a "50s girl" for Halloween at least 3 years in a row
- I watched "Happy Days" and "Laverne & Shirley" religiously as a kid
- I have never read Moby Dick, The Grapes of Wrath, or The Adventures of Tom Sawyer
- I actually liked reading The Scarlet Letter
- Reading notes & letters by Jane Austen, Virginia Woolf, and John Lennon at the British Library made me weep
- If I could go back in time, I would choose to be at Queen Elizabeth's court or in the literary circle of Mary & Percy Shelley, Lord Byron, and John Keats
- I have an embarrassingly stupid crush on Eminem
- Biggest surprises of my life: having a daughter (I was convinced she was a boy when I was pregnant) and loving Paris (I thought it would be snotty & touristy & only marginally interesting)
- Someday, I want to be a cartoon voice.

Aw, thanks!
I can't believe you haven't read those books! Even *I* have read Grapes of Wrath and Tom Sawyer. Suffered through every page of both.
And my embarrassing crush? Kid Rock. I know, he's kind of skeezy, but I love that little sly smirk. Makes me wonder what he's thinking. Naughy boy!
And Paris? I can totally see you there. I'm surprised you didn't think you'd like it.
I hope I can find 10 things about me I'd like to share. I'm not that multi-faceted!
Gee thank you -
now hopefully the
"Magnanimous Chainsaw"
will rise out of the hardware store and deliver those halloween treats :)
haha!
Interesting commentary those names...
I am cracking up at your "not read" list! Too good!
I love Paris, too. It isn't at all snooty. You're right.
Hey! I see my wife on your list. Hello WIFE!
Gee thanks!
I thought I was the only 40-something woman that felt that way about Eminem. I think he and Tupac are both geniuses.
Hmmm, there's your Cabana Boy post--nudge, nudge.
A cartoon voice. Now there's a fun thing to think about.
Why thank you, darling.
Thanks again - My follow on is posted here ...
10 Honest Things
Honesty is such a lonely word...
But when I want sincerity
tell me where else can I turn.
Because you're the one I depend upon.
Thanks, Bad Mom. I will strive to be worthy.
It's both--you are brilliant AND have encouraged me!
I have never read Moby Dick or Paradise Lost or a few other books English teachers are supposed to have read.
